Whoa let me get this straight? Apparently the President's quick action and pro activeness was just too quick for some people. In regards to his prompt and assertive role in the aids for those victims from Hurricane Sandy, some say they were just too quick. By some I mean in particular Michael Brown. This former FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) director is calling into question the motives behind President Obama's swift role in the devastation suffered from Hurricane Sandy that demolished the New Jersey boardwalks, millions left without power, millions of homes destroyed by floods and fires, and well over 100 deaths in New York and New Jersey. He is the President of the United States and when disaster strikes he is there to bring us all together to heal and help repair the damage that has been done. All too quickly does the Republican party try to spin what this man does into something negative. He couldn't be trying to help this nation, no he is only looking for rising numbers in the polls right?
This man, Michael Brown, if you can remember is the same guy that was in charge of FEMA during the devastating time when Hurricane Katrina hit the areas making up the Gulf Coast. That hurricane and it's damage ended up being one of the five most deadliest hurricanes of the Atlantic. "He was seen as a symbol of government failure to protect and evacuate people from the path of Katrina" During his presence in the aftermath of Katrina, emails came to light showing him as "inexperienced and uncaring". In these emails he said things like, "I'm trapped, come rescue me;Can I come home now;Can I quit now?" (Krumboltz Yahoo News).
I don't see Mr. Obama asking to quit and go back home to the White house in this time of need for millions of people, or at any time of need from his fellow Americans. How does this man get off criticizing someone who did a heck of a better job at handling a critical situation than he did. It's funny how far a political party will lower themselves to try and bring the higher man down.
